Berlin

So this weekend Lea, Tom and I took a 6 hour road trip to Berlin! The only bad thing about road trips in Germany you have to pay for to go to the toilet at every gas station on the freeway. We had the funnest ride Tom had made a perfect playlist of all the old school music, a six pack of diet coke and musical instruments. LOVED IT. By the time we got to Berlin it was really late so we pulled up at Tom's friend flat unpacked the car, grabbed some food and headed to bed. We woke up refreshed and ready to go the next day. So Lea thought it would be best to save a lot of time we got on a tourist but in which in London I would NEVER get on, but I was never going to see anyone again and it was fast. In two hours we saw all of the iconic places in East and West Germany, so then Lea began to show me all of the places she had grown to love as she was growing up in Berlin. We went to a really cool bar/cafe where we got beer & cake and just sat for hours people watching. After that we hopped onto a tram and headed to a reggae warehouse were they had bands playing drums and a bar on the river bank we sat there for hours to just listening and watching the boats pass and the band play. Then we jumped onto the tram again visited the Berlin Wall which was so inspirational because it had an exhibition which showed picture placed on the wall of all of the walls that exist today still dividing cities and countries. On the other side artist from all around the world paintings about the wall. It was a perfect way to see Berlin for the last part of our evening as it got later into the night we went into a shop and brought some street beers and they took me to this warehouse/industral place which had been converted into its own little town with skate parks, bars and music venues where you could take your own drinks and just chill for free. The perfect way to end the day in Berlin.
