always time for a first

Last night an old kid Young American came to London with some friends doing what they do best DRAG. So of course to show our support and a little reunion with Ross, we jumped in the car and went; Anna even jumped on a bus and came all the way from Bristol. Not know what to expect we took the night as it came, stopping for a cheeky Starbucks before hand. It was the first time any of us had been to a gay bar and to see a drag act before, and it did not let us down. The environment was so care free, you could be who you want, no tension, no fights just happiness and excitement for the show. Clearly some perfect music and so many dance partners. After a few shots and drinks we started to get in the party mood which was wicked, once the show started everyone went crazy, the supporting acts were fabulous, and then the main act, Ross's friend and another 2 guys were just outstanding, funny, talented and you could see how much fun they were having. After the show we went upstairs for the big reunion which was so cute and a little photoshoot and a glass of champagne. I have not had that much fun on a night out in London for a long time, so unexpected. I defiantly learn't a lot and I am so grateful how open my family have brought me up to be, knowing that as long as you can be who you are then we will love and support everyone no matter what.
Be who you are, live and love.
More pictures are to come.

airport runs.

'the truth is airports see more sincere kisses than wedding halls....'
Today the Young American UK cast arrived at heathrow, to start there 3 month tour is Ireland, Scotland and the UK. So many friends that I have not seen since I left LA would be getting of this plane and I couldn't miss this, nor could I wait another month to see them. So I jumped into the car with Gemma and drove straight to the airport to see them.

As soon as they walked through the arrival door my heart stopped, I became speechless and started shaking. With each person we screamed as we saw it other and all had a little cry, it was so perfect, I hadn't realized how much I had missed everyone. We got to hang about until the coach turned up and we all go to have a fast catch up about the last few months, any time is better than no time and we knew that I would see them super soon after their stay in Ireland. But Gemma and I drove home after watching them drive off we looked at each other and had no word to described how we felt because we just knew. Our hearts were completely filled and refreshed, I had got the blessing to see my friends from so many countries, Canada, America, England, Japan EVERYWHERE and I was so grateful I am already counting down the days till I see them next and get to spend days and days with them.

the last day

The emotions of today made my hangover seem so irrelevant that I just drank a cup of coffee and was blessed and thankful for the fours days I got to spend here. After around 3 hours sleep it was time to scrabble all my things together into my suitcase and head to the airport. Patti woke me up with the smell of a beautiful cooked breakfast, which was just devine. We then wrapped up in the warmest clothes, threw our hair up and wiped away last nights make up after a cold 50second shower and hit the road. We jumped onto a bus, and grabbed a coffee, once we were in the old city I looked around, grabbed Patti by the arm and just stood there to take it all in, and at that moment it started snowing and I looked up at the sky jumped around and cried. People thought I was crazy but hey! We both feel asleep on the bus thankfully the airport was the last stop we waited in line and being young americans a goodbye is never a long goodbye. I have learnt so much and fallen in love with this country/city, it truly is the greatest place I yet to visit. I am so grateful for everything Patti has given to me and shown me. I will be back so so soon! Waving goodbye I had a little body crash and my hangover started to hit me hard, luckily everyone who was on my flight here was also on the flight home, we all took one look at each other and laughed, then looked at the bar in the departure lounge and headed over. We all had out last polish pint at 9.30am and exchanged the stories of our weekend. I generally cared and love these people, there were about 12 of us all together it was magical. We all had a laugh, new experience and a bumpy ride home. Once we had landed and go through customs we all had our last goodbyes and kisses and said 'until next year, live well'

Thank you Poland, and until next year stay beautiful.

hungover with patti'

I always wake up feeling fine, then as the day goes on holy cow does the hangover hit me, we all slept likes babies till late afternoon. I was the first awake and I walked into Patti's rooms where I just took one look at her and knew she was still drunk and suffering, I mean you are only 21 once so may as well enjoy it. I left her and Roxi to sleep for a few extra hours, I lit some more candles, opened the back door for some fresh air, let some peaceful music play and make a bomb arse breakfast and a very strong coffee. It was just what we all needed, later we all ordered pizza as we needed something a bit more heavier to eat! We all ate at least one pizza each, so bad but yet so good! So apparently in Poland the only way to get over a hangover is to have some Polish Beer so Roxi in her pj's ran over to the local store and got us a beer each and IT REALLY DOES WORK. We all felt so much better, so Patti and I got dressed and headed out to take another walk around the old city. After a few hours, we both looked at each other and knew exactly what we were both thinking. We jumped onto the bus and headed home, opened the door and yelled at Roxi to get dressed as we are going back to the club again. Dressed, drunk and ready we jumped into a cab and nearly midnight, you don't have to pay to get into the club which blew my mind again. It was even busier tonight, we ordered some sex on the beaches and partied. The music was so great, they threw out massive glow sticks, and because there is no outside seating area it gets very hot and sweaty in there so they have this machine that blows out liquid ice like smoke which is the best thing Ive ever seen in a club. After dancing all night again and drinking we jumped in a taxi carrying each other and stumbled into bed at 4.30 and I have to leave for the airport at 7am.
Amen. Sleep.

party time with patti

After walking all day, the only way to truly celebrate Pattis' birthday was to party, we all got ready, made some cocktails, tooks some shots and made some very beautiful food. Pattis' friends came over we lit some candles, got some balloons and just sat around talking, drinking and dancing. Of course my polish was a little rough around the edges but once I have had some drink I become fluent in any language, so they find it very funny making me say certain words and I also find it easier to understand what they are saying rather than speak it myself, so I understood most of what they were saying! We then ordered a taxi that didn't come, so we all jumped onto a bus drunk, and picked up a taxi half way there. Once we finally arrived the members of staff looked after us as we had a VIP table, with free vodka and cocktails. We had the best time dancing to all the music that would never be played in a club in England, everyone was dressed up, it was a relaxed and carefree environment. What was stranger was the fact you can smoke inside still, that was crazy but I am grateful for being able to smoke outside to get some fresh air after hours of dancing. But not here! Very very drunk we rolled out of the club and straight into a taxi, we danced, drank and I spoke to a lot of people all night. Party in Poland is 10TIMES better than England. I carried Patti from the taxi indoors as she couldn't stand up straight, then I got into the shower and into bed.
Here's to a beautiful hangover.

Krakow

So today after a good nights sleep Patti and I got the bus into the city so she could show me all the things she loved about her city. With everything I was just blew my mind, the city was so old, the goverment had not done anything to change the buildings, to make it modern as the buildings spoke for themselves. I have never got off a plane and walked the streets of another city and felt so comfortable, I have truly fallen for this country and city, I have traveled to a few places and this has to be my favorite. Patti took me to the Old City, the little streets, to see the beautiful castles and taught me all about the history and what life is like in Poland. Coffee is one thing Patti and I love, I have always been a starbucks snob, so she took me to a polish coffee brand called Coffee House and I was left speechless. Really. This coffee I was holding was the BEST coffee I have ever had, better than Starbucks. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We walked for hours around Krakow and I couldn't and still can't explain how beautiful this city it. After a fair few hours we headed back to the flat to get ready for tonight.
THE PARTY.

Thursday 9 January 2014

welcome to poland.

Today was such a early morning; waking up before the birds, being blown away by gail force I set off for my first trip to POLAND! It was a spare of the moment trip, one of best friends from Young Americans asked me if I could go over for her 21st birthday and I booked my tickets that very second. The flight was perfect, apart from we were unable to land at Krakow because of the fog so we took a little detour to Warsaw (well the landing strip) for a while until we were able to head back to Krakow. However the wait was so great, the plane was filled with about 30people and we all got talking, about our trip, our lives and started a little holiday family. I meet two men who lives and stories were just amazing, we were able to get out and
I finally landed at Krakow, where Patti was waiting for me with a bunch of flowers, we literally ran at each other and cried, it had been nearly a year to long! We then headed back to her flat to pop my bags down and headed into the city, she treated me to my favorite meal handmade pizza and polish beer with squash in and meet her roommate Roxi. It had been a long day so thought as the weekend will be full on we'd just go back put the ipod on shuffle and have a drink.
I had only walked through this city in darkness and was already in love with the place.

HELLO KRAKOW.
